Springfield Royal Country Club stands out as a preferred golf destination in Hua Hin, albeit a bit farther from town, reachable within a convenient 30-minute drive. Designed by the esteemed Jack Nicklaus, the course boasts a strategic layout, with bunkers and water hazards strategically positioned to challenge golfers navigating their fades or slices off the tee.

Characterized by its mature setting, Springfield Royal offers a diverse terrain, featuring wide-open, almost links-style holes alongside those winding through mature trees and local vegetation. The owners’ commitment to preserving and enhancing natural wildlife has resulted in an abundance of bird species, with over 100 observed throughout the course.

In 2005, Springfield expanded with an additional 9 holes crafted by renowned architects Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley. These new holes offer a distinct challenge compared to Nicklaus’s original 18, adding an extra layer of complexity to the course.

With five tee options available, Springfield Royal accommodates players of all skill levels. For those daring to tackle the back tees, be prepared for lengthy drives and challenging approaches to the lush greens.

Each hole presents its own set of challenges, with many greens protected by bunkers, making some pin positions particularly tricky to attack. The 18th hole stands out as a favorite, a relatively short par 5 requiring precision driving between trees to reach the narrow fairway and ultimately, the island green.

Beyond the course, Springfield Royal offers top-notch facilities. The clubhouse, perched in an elevated position, offers views of the course, complemented by excellent changing rooms, a well-stocked pro-shop, and a delightful selection of food and beverages, enhancing the overall experience for golfers.
